I was born in born Frome, Somerset in 1950.
Having been married for 48 years, my wife and I have 2 children and 4 grandchildren.
We also have 2 Beagles which require at least a 6 mile walk everyday.
I moved to Gedney from Sudbury Hill, Middlesex in March 2013, on retirement.
I joined the police force in 1978, served for 14 years, when I left to join London Underground.
I am a member of the Institute of Advanced Motoring Roadcraft. I joined 34 years ago when I passed my police class 1 area car drivers test.
I retired from London Underground in 2011, where as a Project Manager I worked on the Intergated Communications project for all emergency services and the Underground, this system came about after the Kings Cross fire and subsequent report and recommendations. I started with the enabling works, to commissioning the system into use, when I retired.
My interests include Formula 1 racing, environmental and local issues, walking in the countryside.
My claim to fame is being in the Dawn of Man sequence, in the film 2001 A Space Odyssey.
